Powertrader 2.0: Creating Sustainable Added Value with Smart Treasury Solutions

With Powertrader 2.0, Würth Finance International B.V. has taken digital foreign exchange management to a new level – with a clear objective: to make treasury services simpler and faster for customers without compromising on security. The enhanced solution has been in use since the end of 2025 and now offers Würth Group companies even more efficient access to foreign exchange trading.

The demands on treasury management continue to rise: speed, security, and user friendliness are now critical factors. At the end of 2025, Powertrader 2.0 – Würth Finance International B.V.’s in house tool for digital FX management – successfully went live.

With Powertrader 2.0, Group companies can execute FX transactions independently – flexibly via desktop, tablet, or mobile. Following a one time setup, the processes run fully automatically, reducing the daily workload for finance teams. “Our aim was to create a solution that integrates seamlessly and intuitively into our customers’ everyday workflows,” explains Ivo Hochreutener, Business Analyst in the IT Management team, who accompanied the project.

In addition to a redesigned user interface and the resulting enhanced user experience, Powertrader 2.0 is now based on a modern, scalable tech stack and features an expandable architecture. The outcome: stable performance, strong future proofing, and maximum flexibility for changing and growing requirements. “This enables us to create long term added value: with this technology, we not only meet today’s needs, but can also grow and adapt with evolving requirements,” says Nicole Schwarz, Head of Treasury and responsible for Customer Management.

With this, Würth Finance International B.V. reinforces its guiding principle: “We make treasury smart” – designing services in a way that allows customers and partners to fully focus on their core business, today and in the future.
